Grant Story: Llano Estacado Silver Star Board

The Llano Estacado Silver Star Board is an organization whose sole purpose is to provide resources to those who are in the Adult Protective Services system. Theses clients include elderly persons and disabled adults who have been neglected, abused or exploited.

The Llano Estacado Silver Star Board received a grant from the Community Foundation of West Texas to alleviate the need for heating and air conditioning for those in the Adult Protective Services program. With this grant, the Llano Estacado Silver Star Board was able to purchase air conditioners and heaters for their clients to make them more comfortable in the winter and tin the summer when harsh weather hits the South Plains.
