Funding Information Library

What is the Funding Information Library?

Established in 1985 as a joint project of the CFWT and the Junior League of Lubbock, the Funding Information Library brings outside funding opportunities to South Plains non-profit organizations. The Library's research materials are provided through a partnership with Candid, which is the nation's leading authority on institutional philanthropy and provides information on virtually every active foundation in the United States. The Information Library is open Monday-Friday. To utilize the library, please call (806) 762-8061.

Who does the Library serve?

The Library serves more than 400 people every year. Through the Funding Information Library we have provided many individual Grantseeking Basics orientations on the use of available resources in the database as well as use of the internet for grant seeking and basic proposal writing. Numerous individuals representing the various South Plains non-profit agencies have utilized the library's services.

How does it work?

This online service provides the most current information available on all active grantmakers and corporate giving programs in the U.S. Also included are links to websites, 990 and 990-PF tax returns, news stories, publications, RFP's, staffing, grant lists and charts. This database provides valuable information to individuals seeking scholarships for higher education as well as grant support for educational, social, religious, or other charitable activities serving this community.
