New president named to Community Foundation of West Texas
Stephen Warren has been named as President of the Community Foundation of West Texas, effective June 29, 2016
Mr. Warren has extensive experience in West Texas non-profit organizations, including Texas Boys Ranch, Lubbock Christian School, and Boy Scouts of America. He has also served on numerous Boards and is active in the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
“We look forward to Stephen’s infectious leadership in growing our endowment, so we can meet more of the pressing needs across West Texas,” said Board Chairman Chad Grant. “He has strong connections with donors and non-profits throughout the region.”
Stephen is a graduate of Texas Tech. He and his wife Terri have been married 31 years and have 3 children; Cameron, Brittney, and Nicole.
The Community Foundation of West Texas (formerly the Lubbock Area Foundation) is a $38 million community foundation serving a 15 county area of the Texas South Plains. Founded in 1981, the Foundation supports many organizations that work to improve the quality of life in numerous areas including education, arts, health, human services, animal welfare, civic and community development.
