CFWT Scholarship Spotlight: Landon Jones

This year’s Mark and Becky Lanier Raider/Mustang Scholarship recipient is 2021 Coronado High School grad, Landon Jones. Landon is now a student at South Plains College taking classes in general studies and geography. Landon’s career goals include obtaining a GIS degree from Texas Tech and writing programs for geographical systems.

Landon volunteers with Children’s Home of Lubbock, St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Ronald McDonald House, and Texas Right to Life. He also loves to go fishing with his grandfather and travel across the US. Landon had many accomplishments in high school including perfect attendance, UIL Choir Sweepstakes – Superior Rating, and several Business International Management certifications.

Landon completed his report with, “I am sincerely honored to be selected as the recipient of the Mark and Becky Lanier Raider/Mustang Scholarship. Your generosity has allowed me to be able to afford to attend the college of my choice.”
