CFWT Scholarship Spotlight: Macy Chambers

2021 Lubbock High School grad Macy Chambers received the Lubbock High School Alumni Association Scholarship for the 2021-2025 school years. Macy now attends classes at Texas Tech University, studying anthropology and vocal performance. Macy says she has always loved history and anthropology and has a passion for music. She wants to design and research historical exhibits as a museum curator after graduating from college.


Macy graduated from Lubbock High in the top 10%, was an IB diploma graduate, and was in the top 10% of her class. Along with the Lubbock High School Alumni Association Scholarship, Macy received the Presidential Merit Scholarship and was accepted into Texas Tech’s Honors College. Macy also volunteers with many organizations including Lubbock Dream Center, South Plains Food Bank, and the Tim Tebow Foundation (Night to Shine event).


Macy enjoys film studies, crochet, fashion, religious studies, social and political activism, and listening to music. She is passionate about social justice issues, specifically in regards to the disabled and BIPOC populations. Macy says, “I will continue this passion throughout my future career.”
