CFWT Mini-Grants for Teachers Story: Post High School

A Post High School teacher purchased supplies for her Anatomy class with funding from the Community Foundation of West Texas. The teacher explained, "One device that was purchased was a digital, handheld microscope that we used to examine cute on our skin and other skin conditions...Interesting device we can use for years to come!" The microscope images could then shown onto a computer or large projector screen for the class to see. The class examined a student's cut forming a new scab up close with the device and repairing itself in real-time. In addition, microscope slides and coverslips bought for cell lab activities.

The PHS teacher closed the report with, "I appreciate getting the opportunity to get to have new supplies for my students to benefit from!"
