Post Garza Co. Endowment Awards Grants

On August 26, 2016 during halftime at the Post High School Football game, the Post-Garza County Endowment awarded grants to nine area nonprofit organizations totaling $15,500. Since the endowment’s inception in 2010, the Post-Garza County Endowment has distributed $57,300 to nonprofit organizations in Post and Garza Co.

The 2015 grants were generated by earnings from the Post-Garza County endowment fund, and generous gifts given by the Community Foundation of West Texas (formerly the Lubbock Area Foundation) and Xcel Energy Texas.

The grants totaling $15,500 were awarded to:

  • Ragtown Gospel Theater

  • Community Recovery Center

  • Caprock Cultural Association

  • Post Cares

  • Post Animal Refuge Center

  • Trailblazers and Meals on Wheels

  • Girl Scouts of America

  • Garza County Life Extension

  • Post Economic Development Corporation

Teacher Mini-Grant recipients were also announced during the game to three area teachers for their educational projects:

  • Raelene Reece

  • Desta Mason

  • Crystal Osborn
